How to Send Money to an Inmate in the Pima County Jail?

To deposit money to an inmate's account, depositors must visit the Inmate Account Window at the Pima County Adult Detention Complex. Deposits can be made in bank checks, money orders, cards, or exact cash amounts, and there is no limit to the amount that can be deposited at this window. Note that coins are not accepted for deposits. All deposits and disbursements require the depositor to provide a valid government-issued photo ID at the window. The Counter is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Monday to Sunday.

Deposits can also be made online using the TouchPay online payment platform. Interested parties will be required to create an account on the website to use its services, which include deposits to an inmate's account.

Pima County Visitation Rules and Schedules

Inmates in Pima County Jails may have visitation once they have had their first court appearance or have been assigned permanent housing at the jail. The jail offers onsite and remote video visits that can be purchased as shown below.

  • On-site video visits: Inmates are entitled to one free 30-minute visit per week. An additional 30 minutes will cost $9 per inmate, per day.

On-site visits must be scheduled 1 to 7 days in advance, and visits are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. Inmates are allowed 4 visitors at a time, and juveniles must be accompanied by one adult. Visitors must show a current government-issued photo ID, including a driver's license, DES ID card, Arizona ID card, military ID, passport, travel visa, resident alien card, or work permit. For an ID to be accepted, it must have a photo, and show date of birth, and a current address.

All visitors must remain fully and properly dressed, which means no see-through, ripped, revealing, or excessively tight clothing. Clothes must also not display gang affiliations or symbols.

Visitation hours are as follows:

Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Saturday and Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Remote video visits can be initiated by the inmate via the GettingOut website without having to schedule days in advance. Visitors will need a GettingOut account or download the GettingOut Visits mobile app on their smartphone to receive video visits. Video visits via GettingOut will cost $0.25 per minute. The visitor's account will only be charged for the visit time used.

Mailing and Commissary Information
